Frequently Asked Questions

1. What's the best time to record a video response?

Make you have a strong internet connection, the lighting on you is good, and it is quiet enough for the mic to pick up your voice clearly. Don't forget to smile.

2. What does it mean to have a strong or weak signal strength?

The page detects your connection strength and lets you know if it is not a good connection. Note that this looks for your *upload* bandwidth (how well you can connect and upload to the internet) and not your download badwidth. More about signal strength …

3. What if I don't like what I recorded?

You can redo as often as you like before you submit your response. Just click Play after you record so you can review it. Click Redo to re-record. Once you are absolutely sure you like it, click Submit.

4. Why log in using Twitter?

To make it easier for anyone to respond to intervues, you can log in with just your Twitter account. Membership is not generally required to record a video response to a question (unless the owner requires it) or make a comment on a video. However, membership does have its benefits. Sign up now!

5. What are the benefits to being a member?

As a member you can create your very own intervues. You get a convenient dashboard which lets you keep up with all your stuff. You can also get email notifications for those particular intervues you wish to keep track of sent directly to your inbox. Sign up now!

6. What can I do with the video responses I get?

Whatever you like. You can collect them, watch them, have people comment on them, share them, delete them, or download them for editing and publishing elsewhere.

7. How do I keep the video responses I receive private or hidden?

As the owner of the intervue, you can choose to set all video responses you receive to be Hidden within the Settings pane. When you do, only you will be able to see the videos. They do not appear on the page for everyone else. In addition, anyone who already has a direct URL to the actual video page would no longer see the page unless they are signed in and the owner of the video.

8. How do I expire my intervue?

At some point, you are done with the intervue and no longer wish to receive video responses. Go to the Settings at the bottom of the intervue page, change the status to Inactive, then click Save. The intervue page will remain accessible but will no longer accept new video responses.

9. I forgot my password. How can I recover it?

Easy. On the log in page, follow the forgot link which takes you through resetting your password.

10. Why do I no longer see the video response/comment I made?

The owner of the intervue could have either deleted them or has changed the settings of the intervue to not expose the video responses in it. If video responses are set to not be exposed, the comments under each video are unexposed as well.
