Signal Strength

Signal strength is detected on an intervue page to let you know when it is best to proceed with recording a video response. This is based on the amount of *upload* connection your computer currently has, which is different from your download connection.

Signal is strong

A strong signal is shown in green and is the best connection. Go go go!

TIP:  Always preview your recording before submitting. You can redo as often as you like.

Signal is poor

A poor signal is not ideal. Quality will be sacrificed (especialy where there is movement on the screen) and so the video recording may not be as useful to the intervuer. However, audio quality will be fine.

TIP:  Avoid lots of movement on the screen as well as poor lighting quality.

Signal is bad

A bad signal means there will be problems in recording a video. We strongly recommend you wait until you have a better internet connection.

TIP:  Make sure there are no other applications running on your computer that uses up your connection.
